Gyeongbokgung Palace

Last month Mike & I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace. It's described as the most comprehensive and grandest of the five palaces of the period. It certainly covered a lot of ground!

People could go up and take pictures with the guards who remained motionless. We got to witness a changing of the guards ceremony.

We liked the contrast of seeing the mountains in the background in one direction and the highrise buildings of Seoul in the other.

There were lots of artists out drawing the next picture down - such a pretty sight!
