One Saturday in September Mike, Asia & I loaded up for a drive to the west coast to Taeanhaean National Park. We didn't have any real agenda so spent the day beach hopping, geocaching, and catching sights along the way.
The first set of pictures is from the Anmyeon-Am temple we stopped at. There was a low tide and people could walk out to a small nearby island.

The next beaches, Bangpo and Yeonpo, weren't too crowded which was a pleasant surprise. At Yeonpo Beach we climbed some rocks to check out another section and look for a cache but ended up having to wade back since the tide rose really quickly. It was too slippery to carry Asia so she had to do a bit of swimming - whoops!

There were tons of these bugs in the rocky areas of the beaches. They are really fast which Asia took to be a game, of course. She did eventually get a few but I'm pretty sure that's what made her sick later in the day! And apparently the Korean man in the parking lot never saw a sick dog so actually followed us around the car to watch. So very strange!
Our last stop of the day was to Sinjindo-ri fishing village. We got there as boats were coming in with their catches of the day. It was neat being able to watch the process.
