In the last week farmers have started harvesting their rice crops. I was lucky to be home when they did the field behind our apartment. The machine looks like it has a big Wahl hair clippers attached to the front!
The smaller fields are still harvested by hand. I'm sure it's back-breaking work but as a spectator it was neat to see it done live. It really makes me appreciate the effort of the homegrown foods sold at the markets here!
