Temple Cache

One night we went geocaching at a nearby temple. It was a neat experience as we got to see monks walking the grounds. Mike even got to give a deep bow to one that acknowledged us. 

These flowers have sprouted up all over, especially along the country roads by us. They are very pretty to see blowing in the breeze.  

After much searching and being bit up by mosquitoes Mike thankfully found our cache!

As we were leaving it was dark out but we got to hear the monks chanting and playing instruments in the temple on the hill. It was a really peaceful end to the evening!

Treasure Hunters

Over the past three years or so Mike and I have enjoyed geocaching. In case you haven't heard of it, 'geocaching' is using a GPS to locate coordinates and search for a hidden container in that area. Yup, a real life treasure hunt! It gives us a reason to go explore areas we probably wouldn't otherwise and bonus, Asia usually gets to come along.

Since it's a world-wide game we decided to look some up here in Korea to help us explore the area more. There are lots in our area and tons all over the country. We've gotten to see some pretty landscape and have fun along the way!

This was a regular sized park that had one huge swing!

Later we saw the picture on the side of the swing that said no standing on the swing. Whoops!

Asia loved the huge sandy area to play ball in.

She's such a good 'helper'.

 During recent hikes we've found more of these types of areas of fallen rice paddy fields.

One park we searched in had a kids playground. It's been a few years since Asia did any agility but she made herself right at home climbing on all the equipment! (Sorry it's blurry but she's really fast!)

We've been having a lot of fun geocaching and it's a beautiful time of year to be doing it!
